Default A Tribute Guide to Moloch's MoP Nuker Build.

This is properly one of the highest single player Dps in the game. Credit goes to Moloch Vein. I've Talked to him about this little Mini-Guide for awhile, He told me to post it. So be Gentle.
I adore this build it's teh sex against mobs.
This should be what a necro who is bored of running [Spiteful Spirit] should run.
This template is what you Will need for the Highest amount of Damage, so don't change anything apart from the free skill slots (Which i'll be providing recommendations on what to pick)
[Build=Moloch Vein's Mark of Pain Nuker;OAdTY0D7RySYXcBKVMRAAAAAAAA]
NOTE: This build causes such high DPS things will scatter, so if your playing with another player asking them to Bring ["You move like a dwarf"] is advised

General usage:

You should Call all targets you cast [Mark of pain] on and follow this chain from skill slots one to four. (Five if they are blocking)

Equipment: +30hp or 20% Spear with a Silencing spear head and +5e inscription. Curses Focus with +30hp and +1/20% inscription. The Spear is generally used for Activating [Mark of Pain] Or/and [Barbs]
Armour: FoW Armour (Joke). Curses Headpiece with Sup curse rune (Doesn't have to be but more damage = more dead enemies). You can go High Hp or High Energy this build doesn't need that much energy to run.

Heroes(if applical & can afford): Most people Run Sab-way, so i suggest giving your necros spears and Soul reaping or Which ever Foci you prefer. If you are running otherwise such as a Dervish, warrior, assassin and Ranger hero, Make sure they don't have elemental damage as it won't activate [Mark of pain] Or/And [Barbs]

The five skills on the main Bar are essential for MoP nuker to work well.
[Mark of pain]-is your main damage source and should be protected from Hex Removal.
[Ebon vanguard assassin support]-This little guy helps with your Damage and his first skill in his chain is [Iron Palm] and the rest of his chain is Unblockable
[Assassin's Promise]-This skill is used to recharge all other skills so you can spam again and again and again.....
[By Ural's Hammer]-25% more damage from your [Mark of pain] is too good to give up.
[Rigor mortis]-Anti-block skill, Very good in HM and EotN areas where Stances are used all the time.

You generally need a cover hex for this build. Don't want any nasty hex removal skills to rid you of [Assassin's promise] Or [Mark of Pain]
Cover Hexes you can use:
[Reckless haste]-A very nice cover hex.
[Shadow of fear]-DAS is a nice thing to have in HM.
[Meekness]-For wider DAS range.
[Suffering]-I Don't advise this but it's still good on degen.
[Ulcerous Lungs]-Another nice degen skill, but useless unless your running heavy bleeding or up against Alot of monsters with shouts (Which is Unlikely).

Now you have Two more slot to use up i advise picking a PvE skill, More pve skills the better.
PvE skills You could use:
[Necrosis]-Has always been the Favourite skill for any necromancer, it's pure Armor ignoring spammage.
[Mindbender]-This is one of my personal favourite skills, I advise running this if you are going to use barbs in your 3rd slot.
[Pain Inverter]-Like a Condom cheap and disposable, Reminds me of [Spoil Victor] But alot better.
[Technobabble]-This is a nice skill if your using a Silencing Spear Head, Also acts as a cheap AoE interrupt. Note: If you are not going to bring this skill i highly suggest bringing a paragon hero with [spear swipe]
[Great Dwarf Armor]-For people who like to play Defensive...very defensive.
[Great Dwarf Weapon]-This is the most Imba Weapon spell in the game and provides a very good Knockdown on your [mark of Pain]'d target.
[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor]-This is a good skill for a bit more damage from your Zero speced Spear and your allies and minions to do alot more damage.
[Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support]-Does exactly what is says on the tin!
["Finish Him!"]-Very good for quick AP kill spamming.
["You Move Like a Dwarf!"]-This is also a very nice knock-down for The [mark of Pain]'d target. Also Provides a condition if your running Discord-way.

For your last slot it can be somewhat of a hard choice as there aren't that many to pick from that would really benifit you.
Last Slot Suggestions:
[Barbs]-For single target damage with a pinch of salt.
[Enfeebling Blood]-This is Sex for Hard mode.
[Price of Failure]-Another Single target damage, Combined with [Reckless haste] is a deadly combo.
[Rend Enchantments]-Standard Enchantment Removal.
[Rip Enchantment]-Okay Enchantment Removal, but if you want Uber enchantment removal [Rend enchantments] is better.
[Weaken Armor]-Good in Melee heavy areas.
[enduring Toxin]-This is something i would pick if i had none of the other skills, in short kinda sucks for PvE

Optimal Heroes.

These are list of hero builds which are very effective For a MoP nuker.
Any of the skills in these builds can be replaced with whatever you want.

Warrior

[pve Hybrid Crip Slash;OQASEZKPHWAj2fqxU4rG2rC]

This hero build takes the factor of your MoP target running away when your inflicting heavy damage with [Mark of pain] and disables it from running and uses [Sun and moon slash] to active MoP Twice, Bit of a downer for the 8 Adrenaline needed.

Equipment and runes.
Weapon and Shield/off-hand:

Downfall about this build is the hero will have 25 seconds of no IAS which is what the MoP heroes are all about. Should consider running with a paragon.

Ranger

[pve Ranger Support;OgESc5MT8awgMGqGOG7iwGxgA]

You do realise that people have been running this with the 3 necro discord team?

Anyway nice guide I guess, but this isn't really anything new.
I've been running [You Move Like a Dwarf]+ [Finish Him!] + [Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support] + [Mark of Pain] + [Assassins Promise] + [Barbs] + [Enfeebling Blood].

I hate to say it, but, while Moloch's build is awesome, this guide is terrible... I'm not sure if it's worth even trying to itemize the problems with it.

Good build ~ bad guide

I am very confused (unless I missed it) that there was no/little mention of a MM hero in your list of 'optimal heroes' (minus the hint of 'sabway').

Mop + Barbs + a MM is > Melee heroes with this build, and only uses one hero slot ~ too good to pass up imo.

First, the build is old. Second, mark of pain always reminded me of EVSS, you get a few insane moments every once in a while, but mostly it triggers only a couple of times before target dies, decent skill, but nothing special. Third, sry, but the guide is full of mistakes. About half of the optional skills are not even good and many builds are simply weak.
Necro is a great support character with AP, too bad we do not see that from this guide.

Used properly, you can kill entire mobs in seconds. It's not for the totally lazy though -- you have to control the aggro a bit to get/keep foes bunched; you have to select targets based on positioning rather than c-spacing; and you have to pay at least some attention to the overall team build instead of whatever-you've-got-way. It's easily one of the top two damage-oriented builds in GW, and quite possibly the best, so I suggest giving it another chance and a bit of practice. Though not necessarily following anything from this guide...

I hate to be the one to tell you this. But anybody who has played pve for longer than 6 months is bored, and WANTS to be lazy. Who the hell can honestly sit there and vanquish 110 areas/ do every single mission in nm and HM/ do all the primary quests/pve and think "you know what i really want to pay attention to what im doing."

Thats right, no one.

Nice guide but I'm concerned with that ranger build. Isn't it better having [dwarven stability][lightning reflexes]? 22 seconds of 33% IAS and 75% block. Only need to wait 8 seconds to recast it on. I also like having D-shot in all my bow build. I don't know much about MoP but does MoP trigger three times when using [triple shot]? And twice at once with [dual shot]?

Well you've spotted the obvious, This guide is indeed Well old.

This is why i stated at the start I've been talking to Moloch for "Awhile"

and the words I used when I said I was going post it "F**K it I'll post it and watch it get Slated"

As I said this is quite old but your all repeating yourself by saying the same thing one after an another.

MS/DB Sin + Earthshaker warrior + AP/MoP Nec = best combo. Constant double strikes + aoe knocklock maximises the damage.

Dealing high single target damage, on the MoP target itself doesn't really synergize with MoP. If you kill the MoP target in 2 hits, you still need to recast it again and again. I rather deal lots of small but fast physical attacks from range so the MoP target stays alive longer to trigger MoP from.

Besides MoP target should be selected to be in the middle of the mob, so ranged physical attackers work better or you can use shadow step. Melee physical is not the best option.
